The process of obtaining the Sanitary Registrationj of the vaccine in Guatemala was successful.

According to the regulations of each country, it is necessary to register a product before its commercialization and distribution. The main objective of the sanitary registration process is to allow the National Regulatory Agency to ensure and guarantee the supervision, surveillance and quality control of the product.

The Latin American Institute of Biotechnology MECHNIKOV has the mission of bringing high quality pharmaceutical products to all the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
That is why a year ago the MECHNIKOV Institute began the process of sanitary registration of vaccines in the Republic of Guatemala, which is located on the map of countries for the potential distribution of the products of the MECHNIKOV Institute.

In the process of sanitary registration, documents of technical, scientific and legal administrative quality are presented that are approved by the National Regulatory Agencies and Ministries to obtain the sanitary registration.

On October 13, 2020, the sanitary registration of the Fractionated Inactivated Influenza Vaccine (VAIF) was obtained.

Obtaining the sanitary registration of the VAIF vaccine, which is manufactured at the Central American level, guarantees access to the Guatemalan population to an affordable and high quality vaccine.
